Attends Vanderbilt University’s Construction Diversity “Subcontractors
Fair” |
On June 13, 2007,
Vanderbilt’s Construction Diversity Committee
held its inaugural “Subcontractors Fair” for
invited subcontractors to network with prime
contractors and discuss potential opportunities
that exist for both the university campus and
the medical center. This event was held at the
Vanderbilt Student Life Center's Grand Commodore
Ballroom
and was a great success!
Over thirty (30) prime contractors along with
over one hundred fifty (150) subcontractors attended
this event with around twenty (20) contractor
exhibitions. Amprite presented their Woman
Business Enterprise (WBE) certification to each of these
contractors. Amprite also attended an OSHA safety
class entitled Safety – Working
in the Grey Area, offered during
this fair.
The “Subcontractors Fair” is sure
to become the quintessential networking event
for relationship building with the construction
community that operate in the Nashville Metropolitan
area. In the upcoming months, Vanderbilt plans
to publish its Construction Diversity Committee
newsletter that will focus on subcontractors,
general contractors and prime contractors.
